Treatment of the Hand

Treatment starts with the preparation of the hand with sterilising solution.

Hand being treated with Paraffin wax The hand is put into the liquid wax which is kept warm at 50C. The wax covers the hand and warms it.

The hand is removed from the liquid wax and the wax sets. The heat is kept within the wax keeping the hand warm and soothing the tissues.

This is repeated 6 times.

Wrapping hand to keep in warmth The hand is put into a plastic bag to keep the warmth and moisture close to the skin.
The hand in the bag is placed into a comfortable insulated mitten. The warmth from the wax radiates into the hand further soothing it. Hand put in a mitt after paraffin waxing
Removal of mitten after 10mins from paraffin wax After 10 minutes of warmth, the insulated mitten is removed.
The bag and wax are removed in one movement using soft tissue. Wiping the wax off of the hand
Hand smooth and fresh after paraffin wax treatment The hand is warm and soothed - the skin smooth and fresh feeling.
The treatment is finished with an emollient cream which is rubbed into the skin. After care after paraffin wax treatment
